B1.1-AEROPLANE TURBINE (Mechanical)

Mechanical stream focuses on the functioning and maintenance of light & heavy aircrafts,air frames, jet and piston engines and engineparts, hydraulics systems etc. It mainly focuses on ensuring all the mechanical parts of an aircraft are well maintained and functioning properly.

Admission Criteria

AEROPLANE TURBINE (Mechanical) is a practical, job-oriented course and the applicant must fulfill the below criteria

  • The applicant must have passed 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board or university or its equivalent
    OR
  • 3-year Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics engineering recognized by state technical education board shall be considered as an equivalent qualification
    OR
  • BTech/ BE from a recognized state technical board educational institution shall be considered as an equivalent qualification
  • Applicant’s age at the time of admission should not be less than 17 years.
  • Medical Fitness, color blindness test as per DGCA norms

Module 04 Electronic Fundamentals - Semiconductors, diodes, transistors, and printed circuit boards.
Module 05 Digital Techniques/Electronic Instrument System - Logic circuits, computer systems, and flight instruments.
Module 06 Materials and Hardware - Aircraft materials, fasteners, and pipes.
Module 07A Maintenance Practices - Covering tools, inspection, repair, and safety.
Module 08 Basic Aerodynamics - Physics of flight.
Module 09A Human Factors - Maintenance errors, teamwork, and safety culture.
Module 10 Aviation Legislation - Regulatory framework and DGCA rules.
Module 11A Turbine Aeroplane Aerodynamics, Structures and Systems - Covers airframe structures, flight controls, hydraulics, landing gear, and fuel systems.
Module 15 Gas Turbine Engine - Working principles, construction, and maintenance of turbine engines.
Module 17 Propeller - Operation, control, and balancing of propellers.

Practical training from Air India hangar at Trivandrum Airport or Airworks India Pvt. Ltd. located at Taneja Airport Hosur, Bangalore Mere completion of the course does not fetch any Diploma or Degree. Students will have to pass the Licence Examination of DGCA for obtaining license.
