Mechanical Stream

AME (MECHANICAL STREAM – Category B1.1)

Mechanical stream focuses on the functioning and maintenance of light & heavy aircrafts,air frames, jet and piston engines and engineparts, hydraulics systems etc. It mainly focuses on ensuring all the mechanical parts of an aircraft are well maintained and functioning properly.

 

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) program is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a practical, job-oriented course and the applicant must fulfill the below criteria
★ The applicant must have passed 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board or university or its equivalent
OR
★ 3-year Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics engineering recognized by state technical education board shall be considered as an equivalent qualification
OR
★ BTech/ BE from a recognized state technical board educational institution shall be considered as an equivalent qualification
★ Applicant’s age at the time of admission should not be less than 17 years.
★ Medical Fitness, color blindness test as per DGCA norms

Practical training from Air India hangar at Trivandrum Airport or Airworks India Pvt. Ltd. located at Taneja Airport Hosur, Bangalore
Mere completion of the course does not fetch any Diploma or Degree. Students will have to pass the Licence Examination of DGCA for obtaining license.
