AME (AVIONICS STREAM – Category B.2)
Program overview
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course gives access to real-time aircraft experience. It is a balanced practical and theory-based course for the AME license from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, for maintaining airplanes. Making the modern aircraft airworthy cannot be made possible but for the technical skill and hard work of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. They are primarily responsible for keeping the aircraft in airworthy and also issue the certificate of airworthiness before the flight. Essential systems like airframe, engine, instruments, radio and navigation equipment etc., are also being certified by Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. They work for airlines, maintenance divisions of aero-engine manufactures and approved aircraft maintenance organizations.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) program is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India.
Admission Critetia
The applicant must have passed 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board or university or its equivalent. Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics engineering recognized by state technical education board shall be considered as an equivalent qualification.
Applicant’s age at the time of admission should not be less than 17 years.
Medical Fitness as per DGCA norms.

Theory with practical training at Air India Trivandrum or Airworks India Pvt. Ltd. Hosure.
Mere completion of the course does not fetch any Diploma or Degree. Students will have to pass the Licence Examination of DGCA for obtaining license.
